Melissa M. Gemelli is the Director of Paratransit Services for the Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority (LANTA). She has 19 years of experience in providing paratransit under ADA and other Pennsylvania funded programs. She is responsible for policy development, program monitoring and outreach. Ms. Gemelli is also responsible for ensuring LANTA’s compliance with the paratransit rules and regulations issued by the Federal Transit Administration, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and various local governmental agencies. Ms. Gemelli was instrumental in designing and implementing LANTA’s in-person fundamental assessment program, which is used to independently assess individuals’ function abilities to use LANTA’s fixed route service. Melissa is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
